In line with the Government’s 2015 Road Investment Strategy, Highways England has committed to replacing the existing single carriageway road with a dual carriageway bypass at Arundel, linking together the two existing dual carriageway sections.
The options being presented aim to improve traffic flow, journey times, safety and accessibility, boost local economic growth and minimise the impact on the environment.
Here are details of the Highways England manned open days:
In addition, unstaffed exhibitions (where members of the public can view the exhibition boards and collect copies of the brochure and questionnaire, but with no staff present) will take place as follows:
Copies of the brochure and questionnaire will also be available at local and mobile libraries throughout the consultation period.
Please note that Arundel Town Council will have their own set of the exhibition boards, with brochures and questionnaires. These will be up at the Town Hall throughout the consultation period (other events allowing) from 9.00am to 1.00pm Monday to Saturday.
Arun District Council will also have a set of exhibition boards and consultation materials, these will be on show at various locations around Arun. Further details will be posted when we know where/when these can be seen by the public.
The public consultation runs from 22nd August to 16th October 2017. All responses to the public consultation will be considered by our project team as part of the option selection process. The closing date for responses is 11.59pm on 16th October 2017.
